Are you finding the Wi-fi is there one moment then gone the next. Yeah, annoying. One of the best ideas about the modern Wi-Fi routers is the changing the settings. Then adding access points to extend the signal around the house. I have found this can be a painful experience. Here are the shortcuts and where you should put your dollars.

WPS Setup

Setting up or turning on the WPS in the modem will save you typing the password into all your devices over time.

This is more just time saving as the password of the WiFi modems are ridiculous to type in on printer screens.

Wi-Fi Extender

Note: This is a brief guide but it is this simple

I hope you setup the WPS in the Wi-Fi modem router. You’ll spend about $200 on the Wi-Fi extender but all you need to do is get close to the modem click the WPS button for a couple seconds then hit the WPS button on the Wi-Fi extender then they will connect. Then place the signal in the middle of you and the Wi-Fi modem this will extend the strength and range of the Wi-Fi Signal. You should see light indicator on the Wi-Fi extender to give you an idea of how far the Wi-Fi extender can be from theWi-fi Modem router.

Select ChanNel

Some cases I have told the Wi-Fi modem to only use one channel. Instead of the Auto option this can stop it from getting interference from other Wi-Fi routers in the area.
